What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and username. Your email is used only for account verification and is never shared or sold. Your username is public and visible on leaderboards and profile pages.
When you play, we store your game attempts and stats (scores, streaks, optimal solves) associated with your account. Guest play is tracked via an anonymous local token that is not linked to any personal information.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to anyone
- We don't run ads or share data with advertising networks
- We don't track you across other sites
- We don't send marketing emails
Profile pictures
If you upload a profile picture, it is stored in a public storage bucket and visible to anyone who views your profile. Don't upload anything you wouldn't want publicly visible.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and local storage for authentication and to maintain your session. Guest game progress is saved in local storage so your attempt isn't lost if you refresh. No third-party tracking cookies are used.
Data hosting
Outguess is hosted on Vercel and uses Supabase for its database. Both are US-based services. By using Outguess, you agree to data being processed on these platforms.
Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This will permanently remove your profile, stats, and game history. To request deletion, contact us directly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Outguess after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
